Seventy per cent of the earth's surface is water but most of it is ocean water and only 3 per cent of all the world's water is freshwater.

Salt water is a water-based solution that contains within its composition a high amount of mineral salts (35%), which give it its characteristic taste.

Seawater contains the full range of minerals, more than 75 minerals and trace elements. Fresh water also contains mineral salts such as calcium, silica, magnesium or iron, but not to the level of SEA water.
